What I collect

When you fill in the contact form I receive the details you type: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, what you need help with, and your message. I use that information only to reply to you and, if you become a client, to do the work you ask for.

The form is delivered by Web3Forms, a form-handling service that passes your message to my inbox. Web3Forms keeps a copy for delivery purposes under its own privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses the Google Ads tag to measure whether the ads I run lead to enquiries. Google may set cookies in your browser and collect your IP address and pages visited for that purpose. You can opt out through Google's ad settings at adssettings.google.com, or block cookies in your browser. The site works fine without them.

I do not run any other analytics, tracking pixels or third-party scripts.

What I never do

Sell or rent your details to anyone.
Add you to a mailing list or newsletter.
Share your information with anyone other than the services named above that are needed to deliver your message.

How long I keep it

Enquiries stay in my email so I can refer back to our conversation. If you would like your details deleted, email me and I will remove them.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email jack@backroads.tech and I will respond within 30 days.
